Emin Gun Sirer and Kevin Sekniqi from AVA Labs will talk about the Avalanche consensus protocol and the AVA Platform.
Details
We are very happy to have Emin Gün Sirer [1] and Kevin Sekniqi [2] speak to us on the Avalanche consensus protocol and the AVA Platform [3]. We are always happy to hear new approaches solving to blockchain scalability, which is first on Vitalik's list of "Problems" [4]. Sirer is Associate Professor at Cornell University and founder, with Sekniqi, of AVA Labs. Sirer was the first to publicize the 2018 Avalanche paper [5]; see [3] for an updated whitepaper. Their abstract follows:
"10 years since Bitcoin's introduction, we are still laying the technological foundations to support the true decentralized finance / app dream. In this talk, we discuss the present and future developments in core blockchain infrastructure. We discuss, in detail, the Avalanche protocol, as well as the various features of the AVA platform."
We are very grateful to Mindrome [6] for hosting us and the Decentralization Foundation [7] for sponsoring. Please join us for this event!
